Music
has always been a part of the Rodriguez family’s
life. Rachel’s father, Ray Rodriguez, was definitely
her first and biggest influence. It was he who
instilled in her his strong work ethic and emphasis
on preparedness. It was clear early on that Rachel
was a musical force to be reckoned with. At an early
age, Rachel began singing and dancing at local
festivals, fairs, talent shows, etc…in her home
state of Michigan. By the time she was in high
school, she had joined her father’s band and really
began to hone her skills. |

Rachel loves all kinds of
music, but says her roots are in Country music. This is the reason she
made the move to Nashville,TN. Apart from her father, Rachel’s greatest
influences include Wynonna, Loretta Lynn, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Nicks,
Tina Turner, Gloria Estefan and Selena. “These women have not only
inspired me with their phenomenal talent, but also with their incredible
strength and determination” says Rachel, and those are certainly traits
necessary to survive in Nashville’s competitive music scene.
